Job Summary:
The Leasing Specialist plays a crucial role in the success of Prairie Property Management by assisting prospective tenants, maintaining positive resident relations, and ensuring properties are leased efficiently. This role involves guiding potential renters through the leasing process, showcasing available units, and ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leasing & Sales:
- Engage with prospective residents via phone, email, and in-person.
- Conduct property tours and highlight features, amenities, and community benefits.
- Explain lease terms, policies, and available options to potential tenants.
- Follow up with prospects to encourage lease commitments.
- Administrative & Compliance:
- Process rental applications, background checks, and lease agreements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of available units, lease expirations, and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws and company policies.
- Assist with move-ins and move outs.
- Property inspections and open unit inspections.
- Customer Service & Resident Relations:
- Address inquiries and resolve tenant concerns professionally and promptly.
- Provide excellent customer service to ensure tenant satisfaction.
- Assist in planning resident events to build a strong community atmosphere.
- Marketing & Outreach:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to advertise vacancies and promote the property.
- Utilize online listing platforms and social media to attract prospective tenants.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in property management software (e.g., Yardi) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and leasing best practices preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
Schedule:
- Evenings as needed
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Sales: 2 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
