Qualification Requirements

Valid MN Driver’s License

Ability to be insured to drive company vehicle by PRI insurance company.

Ability to obtain MnDOT Health Card

Ability to obtain MN Dept of Ag Pesticide Applicator License

Sincere interest in native plant communities
Position Summary
The Service Technician will provide assistance with soil preparation, seeding and planting on new installations and management projects. Using power equipment and herbicides when necessary, and to assist with controlled burning when assigned. The Service Technician works under the direction and guidance of the Project or Assistant Project Managers. All employees are expected to complete all required training and licensures and act in a way consistent with PRI’s core values.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide Field Labor on Projects in the following areas

Soil Preparation

Seeding
-
Planting
-
Erosion control
-
Hand weeding
-
Broadcast and spot herbicide applications

Small power equipment operations

Prescribed burning
-
Invasive species control
Other duties as assigned may include but are not limited to the following

Mechanical repairs

Facilities maintenance and repair

Maintaining work records timely and accurately

Help maintain a safe and clean work environment
Work Environment
Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Working hours can be long and unpredictable.
Physical Demands
Must be able to move objects up to 50 lbs. and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs. This position requires good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
