Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Patient Care Admin Department in the role of Director of Outpatient Services. As a key member of the leadership team, this position will work onsite and participate in an on-call rotation. This position is accountable for the oversight of the clinical operations, programs and services provided by the outpatient clinical departments.
Position Summary
The Director of Outpatient Services (DOS) is accountable for the oversight of the clinical operations, programs and services provided by the outpatient clinical departments. The DOS is responsible for hiring employees for their areas, conducting performance evaluations and dismissal when appropriate. The DOS is responsible for developing, monitoring, and executing the quality improvement initiatives for the outpatient departments as well as assuring compliance with The Joint Commission and regulatory requirements. He/she are responsible for establishing strategic plans and operational goals for all of their departments and defining the expected outcomes, determining the support, skill set, and competencies needed for the roles. He/she are responsible for resource acquisition thereby assuring their staff has the materials and equipment to be successful in their jobs. The director is responsible for staff development and identifying the strengths of their staff and supporting them in being successful in their jobs. The Director of Outpatient services must consistently demonstrates project management, organization, problem solving, critical thinking, team building and communication/conflict resolution skills.
The Director is responsible for coaching, mentoring staff and recognizing the excellence of their staff. The Director is self-directed and intrinsically driven, always looking for ways to expand their own knowledge base and is a “systems thinker” that is able to see the greater purpose for which their efforts are a part. The Director is responsible to attend and support regular collaborative team meetings to discuss both patient issues and team collaboration issues. He/she must be able to demonstrate critical thinking skills in all aspects of their role including utilizing data to weigh alternatives and searching for solutions outside of the box. He/she must have a talent for overcoming resistance to change, emotionally intelligent and able to build strong relationships with internal and external customers.

Education Requirements/Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Current WI licensure as applicable to clinical discipline
- Graduate of an accredited clinical program
- Bachelor of Science in Health-Related Field
- Master's degree in healthcare related field or Business Administration required or must be actively. enrolled in Master's Degree program with expected completion within 18 months of hire date
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is required
- Five to ten years of progressive direct management experience strongly preferred
