Summary
As a Banquet Chef at Prairie's Edge Casino Resort, you will play an essential role in preparing and delivering high-quality meals for various events and functions. This position is vital to our mission of providing outstanding hospitality and culinary excellence to our guests.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquets and special events according to established recipes and standards.
- Assist in menu planning, ensuring offerings meet guest expectations and dietary needs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and Banquet Sales Manager to ensure timely service during events.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
- Support the culinary team in maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a banquet or fine dining setting.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
- Familiarity with menu planning and dietary considerations is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
- Leadership experience in a kitchen environment is beneficial but not required.
