Cashier/Host

Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. You will manage the flow of guests in the restaurant, handle cash transactions, and provide exceptional customer service. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive atmosphere will be key to creating memorable dining experiences.

Hiring for Full or Part Time varied shifts. Will include Weekends and Holidays.

Location: 5616 PRAIRIES EDGE LN, Granite Falls, MN 56241

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize guest flow.
• Operate the POS system for processing orders and payments accurately.
• Handle cash transactions with precision and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
• Provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness in the front-of-house area, including menus and dining spaces.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service delivery.

Skills

• Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
• Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of food service operations within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when managing reservations or inquiries.
• A positive attitude and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Previous experience in hotel or restaurant settings is a plus but not required.

Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience: No prior experience necessary—training provided.
• Skills: Strong customer service skills and dependability
• Availability: Must work varying shifts, including morning, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Other Requirements: Pass a State and Federal background check and pre-employment drug screening.
