Summary
As a Regional Nurse Consultant at Prairie Cottages, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of care for our residents. This position involves providing expert guidance on patient care practices while promoting a compassionate, person-centered approach within our facilities.
Responsibilities
The Regional Nurse Consultant will oversee clinical services across five facilities, including New Ulm, New Richland, Owatonna, and Albert Lea. This full-time, benefit-eligible, mobile position requires being in the communities at least four days per week.
The Regional Nurse Consultant Provides nursing expertise and leadership throughout the region, assisting in timely referral assessments, analyzing patient care delivery systems, recognizing and implementing training and education opportunities, and making recommendations for improvements based on evidence-based practice. The Regional Nurse Consultant maintains an up-to-date and thorough knowledge of all regulatory requirements, oversees facility RN and LPNs, provides comprehensive evaluation and training to all facility staff, and assists during survey or investigation processes. As a champion of care, the Regional Nurse Consultant understands and brings a passion for quality education with a practical and kind delivery. Beyond clinical skills, the Regional Nurse Consultant recognizes and understands the importance of person-centered care, the impacts of customer service, and has extensive knowledge of memory care practices.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in a long-term care, assisted living, and/or memory care setting. A candidate with experience educating healthcare employees is beneficial, and regulatory knowledge is appreciated. You should bring excellent interpersonal skills, be able to work within deadlines, and be self-driven and motivated professional.
