Position Summary
The Surgical Technology Program at Prairie State College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Clinical/Lab Instructor. The Lab/Clinical Instructor is a resource person for the Surgical Technology students and will be responsible for their assignments, clinical evaluations and lab instruction.
Instructional staff must be effective in teaching and knowledgeable in subject matter as documented by appropriate professional credential(s)/certification(s), education, and experience in the designated content area.

Minimum Qualifications
Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
Possess a minimum of an Associate Degree.
Possess a credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA)
Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.
Must have all required immunizations per Hospital policies.

Preferred Qualifications
Laboratory instruction (in addition to clinical instruction).
Provide supervision of student clinical experience.
Ensure documentation of the evaluation and progression of clinical/lab performance leading to clinical/lab competence.
Provide continuous quality review and improvement of student clinical experience.
Traveling to clinical sites.
