This full-time, nine-month, non-tenure track position is designed to focus on high-quality teaching, practical application, and professional engagement in the field of kinesiology. This role emphasizes the integration of academic knowledge with industry and community practice to prepare students for workforce readiness and professional success. The successful candidate will also provide service to the department, college, and university, and must have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.

The successful candidate will also provide service to the department, college, and university, and must have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate and/or graduate-level courses in kinesiology and related areas, emphasizing hands-on, applied learning experiences. This includes developing course materials, utilizing innovative teaching methods, and assessing student learning outcomes.
- Participate in the development and revision of the curriculum to ensure it meets current educational standards and industry needs.
- Serve on departmental, college, and university committees, contributing to the governance and improvement of the institution.
- Participate in community outreach and extension activities that promote physical education and wellness.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues within the department and across disciplines on teaching, research, and service projects.
- Doctoral Degree: A Ph.D., Ed.D., or earned doctorate in Kinesiology or a closely related field from an accredited institution of higher education by August 2025.
- Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching at the college or university level is highly desirable. This can include serving as a teaching assistant, instructor, or lecturer prior to obtaining a full-time faculty position.
- Professional Experience: Industry or professional experience in kinesiology, physical education, or a related field, with evidence of applied practice.
- Professional Involvement: Active involvement in professional organizations related to kinesiology and physical education is beneficial.
- Strong digital literacy skills, including the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies that can enhance teaching and research.
- Experience with using technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience working with students from varied socioeconomic, cultural, and academic backgrounds.
