Job Description
The Financial Accountant II, under direction, performs complex professional accounting. The position ensures that local and state bank accounts, scholarships clearing accounts, service reimbursement clearing accounts, and G/L accounts are reconciled, errors identified and corrections inputted promptly.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile state bank account, prepare reconciliation schedule for supervisor's review and work with originating office staff to clear
outstanding items. - Reconcile local bank accounts, prepare reconciliation schedule for supervisor's review and work with originating office staff to clear
outstanding items. - Reconcile Scholarship clearing accounts and work with originating office staff to clear outstanding items.
- Maintain and update Reconciliation Weekly Status.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
