Job Description
The Lecturer position is a full-time, 9-month/academic year appointment beginning the Fall 2025 academic year in the Chemical Engineering Department. This position is responsible for teaching undergraduate courses such as freshmen, junior, and senior level lab courses, engineering economics, thermodynamics, material science, and/or material/energy balances. The successful candidate must have a demonstrated background in laboratory techniques and a willingness to learn new techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing lessons and delivering instruction for day, evening and online courses.
- Lead and supervise teaching laboratory activities.
- Scheduling and maintaining office hours.
- Submitting book request, syllabi, grades and evaluations.
Required Education and Experience:
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science.
- At least one-year experience teaching or working in a laboratory.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Experience with various types of analytical laboratory equipment.
- Experience with troubleshooting equipment and software.
- Ability to utilize and learn new technology and applications to enhance student learning.
- Knowledge of various chemical engineering processes.
