This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.

Job Description
The Program Coordinator I, is responsible for developing, providing, promoting and supporting programs, services, activities and policies that strengthen the university's internationalization efforts including education abroad.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities
- Advise students on study abroad programs from exploration to reentry. Plan and implement study abroad programs/services and activities including, but not limited to, study abroad fairs, incoming student orientations, pre-departure orientations, resource room, study abroad scholarships, classroom visits, study abroad handbook, and study abroad workshops. Develop and revise study abroad guides as necessary.
- Update and maintain the study abroad software system. Determine student eligibility for study abroad programs and administer the application process. Administer the PVAMU Panthers Abroad Scholarship program. Perform social media duties.
- Promote international opportunities and the initiatives of the Office of International Programs. Update the departmental website. Assist with the development and revision of rules and procedures. Prepare various reports.
- Provide guidance to students, staff, and faculty regarding university-related international travel for non-education abroad activities (e.g., athletics, PVAMU chorus, etc.).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Two years of related experience.
- Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Master's Degree in International Relations/Studies, International Education, Business Administration, Higher Education Administration, Communication or related field.
- Recent experience at the professional level working in or with public sector higher education international programs of which at least one year of professional level experience is in education abroad.
- Experience traveling abroad professionally.
- Experience promoting education abroad programs.
- Experience with developing and implementing education abroad programs.
- Proficient in Word Press, Photoshop, and social media.
- Experience with Terra Dotta education abroad software.
