Job TitleStudent Hourly Assistant | Intramurals | Aquatics | Lifeguard-(Multiple Positions) Agency Prairie View A&M University Department Intramurals Proposed Minimum Salary$13.50 hourly Job LocationPrairie View, Texas Job TypeStudent Worker Job Description (Multiple Positions) The Lifeguard is responsible for supervision of the PVAMU Recreation Center pool and aids the Department of Recreational Sports in delivering an enjoyable experience for the Prairie View Community. The Lifeguard staff provides excellent customer service to members and guests at the PVAMU Pool. Must be CPR Certified. Responsibilities: Supervision of six lanes and deck during open recreation and swimming lessons Demonstrate working knowledge of PVAMU Pool and Recreational Sports rules and regulations Ability and willingness to enforce rules and regulations Assist in regular cleaning of the PVAMU Pool, patio and deck area Attend weekly in-service trainings Remain up to date on all American Red Cross Lifeguard skills and CPR Coordinate opening/closing procedures, hourly pool counts, and all other daily operations In the event of an emergency, provide emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services Perform other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: Presently enrolled for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done. Must be in academic good standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA No prior experience necessary For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.
