Job Description
The Director of Development, Athletics is a key leadership role focused on securing philanthropic support for Prairie View A&M University's athletic programs. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies to enhance athletic facilities, scholarships, and programmatic support. Additionally, the Director will manage and mentor a team of major gift officers to ensure coordinated and effective fundraising efforts. The Director will work closely with the Vice President for University Advancement, the Athletic Director, coaches, and other university stakeholders to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gift prospects and donors.

- Develop and execute a strategic plan for athletic fundraising that aligns with the university's overall advancement goals.
- Identify and prioritize fundraising needs in collaboration with the Athletic Director and coaching staff.
- Create and manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors.
