Job Description
The key responsibilities of the Laboratory Coordinator staff is to set-up the necessary parts and equipment for ECE laboratory instructions, maintain the teaching laboratories, order lab supplies including for undergraduate senior design projects, install software and updates for computer labs, and ensure safety compliance.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities :
- Guide and instruct students working in labs, and enforce all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare laboratory equipment and ensure proper setup for instruction including installation of system updates.
- Prepare detailed laboratory operating procedures for laboratory experiments.
- Assess need for and coordinate the acquisition of laboratory materials and supplies; recommend equipment and facility upgrades, manage the procurement and installation of laboratory equipment and upgrades; recommend and facilitate any necessary decommission and removal of obsolete equipment.
- Maintain a safe, clean and operational lab environment.
- Adheres to University and department policies, procedures and regulations to ensure compliance.
- Maintain inventory control.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
