What are the responsibilities and job description for the Greenhouse Labor position at Prairie View Garden Center & Farm Market?
This is a physical job. Must be able to lift 40 lbs and follow instructions. Greenhouse experience not necessary but it would be a plus. We are willing to train the right person.
KEY JOB RESONSIBILITIES:
Planting
Watering
Plant Maintenance - trimming, weeding, scouting for bugs, etc
Refill Sales Yard which may involves loading multiple wagons daily
Loading and Unloading trucks
Loading Customer Cars with bagged goods
Able to constantly work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions
Weekend availability is required.
It is important to keep in mind that this position requires the individual to be a “switch hitter”. The garden center business is a seasonal business and as such there may be times when we need the individual to help in other areas such as cashiering, pricing inventory, restocking the market, or any other job where we need an extra pair of hands. The ideal candidate would be not only capable, but also willing to fill the voids when necessary.
