Job Summary:
Prairie View Healthcare Center is currently looking for a RN Nurse Manager (SDC/RCM) to oversee the proper administration of total care to our residents, as well as administer, plan, develop, evaluate, coordinate and educate programs for the facility's staff.
Essential Functions:
- Evaluates resident and staff training needs and provides the Executive Director (ED) and DNS with comprehensive recommendations concerning the educational/training needs of nursing staff.
- Maintains current education records of classes/in-services conducted, attendance, and clinical performance of each nursing attendee, as well as attendance records of other employees.
- Observes and teaches the Center safety policies and processes to nursing staff.
- Demonstrates consistent ability to identify problems, report in an objective manner, and take appropriate corrective action.
- Observes resident, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, family, (responsible party) and physician of resident's change in condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
- Modifies resident care plan, care directives, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) and Aide flow sheets in conjunction with resident changes in condition.
- Provides general nursing care to residents and oversee the work of the Licensed Nurses and CNAs in our facility.
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
- Required: Current unencumbered RN Licensure in the state of employment.
- Required: One year experience and demonstrated competence in planning, implementing and directing educational programs for adults in the nursing field.
- Preferred: Two years' experience in nursing; one year in long-term care.
