JOB SUMMARY: The Application Analyst oversees healthcare application support, maintenance, and optimization to align systems with clinical and operational requirements. This specialist provides hands-on training and immediate assistance to users, enhancing their system proficiency. Additionally, the role delivers data analytics support as needed, translating system information into actionable insights. The position includes educating staff on healthcare application best practices, enabling them to maximize system effectiveness for improved patient care outcomes and streamlined organizational processes.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and deliver training sessions for healthcare applications.
- Create training materials, user guides, and online resources.
- Provide hands-on support and guidance to users during system rollouts and updates.
- Collaborate with the Director of IS to identify training needs.
- Assess user proficiency and provide additional training as needed.
- Maintain documentation of training activities and user feedback.
- Stay updated on software enhancements and relay changes to end users.
- Provide technical and functional support for healthcare applications.
- Analyze and resolve application-related issues.
- Assist with system configuration, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Work closely with end-users to understand system needs and improve workflows.
- Provide over-the-shoulder support and real-time training for staff using healthcare applications.
- Coordinate with vendors for application support and troubleshooting.
- Document system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in testing new features and software updates.
- Provide data to risk, compliance, and development departments as needed.
- Prepare and submit AIMS report to the state of Kansas.
- Work with team members of the I.S. department as needed.
- Associates degree in IT, healthcare, or related field, Bachelors degree preferred.
- Two years experience in training or education, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Experience supporting healthcare applications or EHR systems. Netsmart MyAvatar experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Kansas AIMS software and reporting, preferred.
- Familiarity with SQL, preferred.
- Familiarity with Crystal Reports, preferred
- Must be able to pass Kansas Bureau of Investigation Screen, Central Registry Screen, and DCF (Kansas Dept. for Children & Families, formerly SRS) background check.
