Responsibilities
As our Culinary Specialist, you’ll be the culinary magician behind the scenes, ensuring that every meal and snack served meets Newport Healthcare’s standard of culinary excellence. You’ll whip up mouthwatering dishes while fostering a friendly dining atmosphere that makes mealtime a highlight of the day!
What You’ll Do
Compensation for this role ranges from $17.00 - $20.00 per hour, depending on education and experience.

What You’ll Do
- Kitchen Superstar: Open and close the kitchen like a pro, making sure everything is prepped and ready for a fantastic dining experience.
- Meal Maestro: Prepare and present breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks daily, turning each dish into a masterpiece that delights the senses!
- Event Chef Extraordinaire: Get creative and prepare scrumptious food for parent weekends and special events—let’s make every occasion memorable!
- Menu Magician: Execute the menu crafted by our Chef de Cuisine, bringing each dish to life with your culinary skills and creativity.
- Dietary Detective: Pay attention to clients’ dietary restrictions and preferences, serving up healthful, nutritious, and organic meals and snacks that everyone will love.
- Cleanliness Champion: Keep the kitchen sparkling clean! Ensure overall cleanliness, including refrigerators, freezers, ovens, floors, and dishes after each meal and food prep.
- Health & Hygiene Hero: Make sure the kitchen adheres to state health and hygiene requirements and Newport Healthcare standards—safety is our top priority!
- Guest Engagement Guru: Engage positively with parents and guests, building rapport with clients to create enjoyable and memorable mealtime experiences.
- Culinary Collaborator: Participate in baking or cooking groups as directed—let’s share the joy of cooking and learn from each other!

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- One - three years of applicable experience required.
- State Food Safety Certification preferred.
