Are you a dedicated mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families? PrairieCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this essential role, you will assess, plan, and provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, collaborating with other PrairieCare staff to deliver comprehensive treatment to those we serve.

Are you a dedicated mental health professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families? PrairieCare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Therapist to join our multi-disciplinary team. In this essential role, you will assess, plan, and provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy, collaborating with other PrairieCare staff to deliver comprehensive treatment to those we serve.
What You’ll Do
As a Therapist at PrairieCare, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the mental health and well-being of our patients through a variety of therapeutic services, including:
- Collaborative Care: Work closely within an interdisciplinary treatment team, partnering with patients to develop tailored treatment plans.
- Comprehensive Assessment: Assess, plan, and implement psychotherapeutic services for adults with mental health challenges, adapting your approach as needed.
- Therapeutic Services: Provide a comprehensive range of therapy services, including individual and family psychotherapy, as well as facilitating process groups.
- Enhancing Functioning: Focus on enhancing the functioning of patients and their families, positioning them for success in their mental health journeys.
- Care Coordination: Coordinate care with external providers or caregivers upon admission and discharge, ensuring continuity and support.
- Expertise Contribution: Share your therapeutic expertise with the treatment team and across the organization, contributing to a culture of learning and collaboration.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Engage in enriching clinical opportunities that promote diversity, inclusivity, and equity within the therapeutic context.
- Support and Supervision: Provide support to other therapists and associate therapists as needed, and participate in case conferences and treatment team rounds. You may also supervise Master's level interns or associate therapists based on your qualifications.
What You Bring:
- A Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
- Licensure in the State of Minnesota is required.
- Experience in a healthcare or mental health setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of person-centered, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining clinical records and billing requirements.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for enhancing the lives of those you serve.
