Sales Associate/Manager in Training

We are looking for a Sales Associate with managerial potential. The ideal candidate would demonstrate a sincere passion for Animal Science or have pet, horse, or livestock experience and want to grow their knowledge and experience. They must show outstanding customer service as demonstrated by a professional, engaging personality with the ability to problem solve. Sales Associates are the face of our business to the public and demonstrate our commitment to provide outstanding, personalized customer service to create long-term customer relationships. They work closely with customers and use all resources available to support customer inquiries. The job of a Sales Associate is like a Swiss army knife because it has many components: helping customers determine the best products for their pet's needs, operating registers, assembling feed orders, loading products into vehicles, stocking sections, creating displays, and keeping the store looking presentable.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Our Sales Associates provide exceptional customer service, greet and assist customers, and answer questions on pet, horse, and livestock nutrition and care. In addition to customer service, sales associates stock, price, clean, and carry product out for customers (must be able to lift a 50 lb bags into a customer's car).

CREDENTIALS:
We are looking for highly enthusiastic, energetic, positive, hard-working, and self-motivated individuals with excellent people skills and an eagerness to learn. Must show a desire to be in this industry: ie a degree in (or working toward a degree in) vet tech, animal science, veterinary medicine, agri-business, or related field, farm experience or a background in the pet industry, or hands-on experience working with or knowledge of pets, horses, and livestock.

This job has flexible weekday and weekend schedules.
