What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining Associate - Part-time, days position at Prairieview Lutheran Homes?
Under the direct supervision of the Food Services Director/Assistant, the Dining Service Associate is responsible for diversified tasks within the food service department including ware washing, department sanitation and other processes to ensure that the department operates in a clean, sanitary and safe manner.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Preparation of dining areas, including supplies and equipment to run efficiently
2. Record and maintain temperatures of equipment and food in appropriate logs
3. Follow and monitor portions and diet plans according to Federal and State guidelines
4. Follow all food safety protocols
5. Follow all proper cleaning/sanitation procedures and thoroughly clean and sanitize personal work areas, equipment, and supplies
6. Clean, sweep and sanitize your area at the end of each shift
7. Be open and flexible to changes in positions and duties for the appropriate staffing situation
8. Hold self-accountable for following the appropriate call-in procedures
9. All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience
1. High School diploma or equivalent preferred
2. Excellent customer service skills
3. Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred
