The Resident Assistant supports the Activity Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing recreational services to address the individualized needs and interests of the residents.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Interact with residents and families
- Assist with all non-care duties such as passing water, linens, gowns, making beds
- Engage residents on a one-to-one basis and in small and large groups
- Flexible and patient with residents
- Organize and lead activities
- Strives to implement new activities
- Assist transporting residents to and from activities and meals
- Assist in dining hall by taking orders, clearing tables, and helping residents to and from dining hall
- Prepare or bake snacks with residents and prepare snack cart
- Assist with transport of residents to and from all areas of the facility
- Work individually and as a team
- Deliver mail and newspapers to residents
- Lead exercise groups
- Help residents to look their best and help maintain dignity and respect
- Posting daily activity signs and handing out daily Chronicles
- Assist with all non-care duties such as passing water, linens, gowns, making beds
- Perform activities as scheduled/assigned within your shift
- Assist with redirecting residents and awareness of elopement risk residents
- All other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
