The Production Worker is responsible for helping assemble and prepare mattresses for shipment. Their duties include placing raw materials or products into manufacturing machines to aid the assembly process, packaging finished products and organizing them for shipments and completing checks on equipment and products to ensure quality production.

Job Duties

• Participate in the assembly and manufacturing of mattresses according to established procedures and quality standards.
• Follow instructions and use tools and equipment to complete assembly tasks.
• Inspect finished products for quality and compliance with specifications.
• Report any defects or issues to supervisors for resolution.
• Handle and move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing area.
• Assist in the loading and unloading of materials and products.
• Operate manufacturing machinery and equipment as needed.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines during machine operation.
• Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized manufacturing environment.
• Work collaboratively with team members to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team leads.
• Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in manufacturing or a related field is a plus.
• Ability to work on your feet on the production floor for the duration of the shift (usually 8 hours/day).
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks (including lifting, bending, reaching, pulling, etc.) and standing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to different tasks within the manufacturing process.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and guidelines.
• Strong command of English language is required.
• Other tasks, as required, depending on the workstation/area you are assigned to.

Schedule:

• Monday- Friday 6:30am- 2:30pm (paid lunch break)

Job Type: Full-time
