We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pet Care Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care for pets. Responsibilities
- Provide daily walks, care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for all animals in your care by maintaining hygiene standards.
- Monitor the health and behavior of pets, reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Maintain accurate records of pet care activities and communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs.
- Support training efforts by reinforcing basic commands and positive behaviors in dogs.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
Skills
- Proficient in dog handling techniques to ensure safety for both the animal and handler.
- Experience in pet sitting or similar roles that demonstrate a strong understanding of pet care needs.
- Familiarity with kennel operations or veterinary settings is highly desirable.
- Strong animal handling skills that reflect confidence and compassion towards various breeds and temperaments.
- Excellent customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- A background as a veterinary technician is a plus but not required.
