Job Summary :
Leads Material Handlers and oversees all aspects of material handling and receiving. This includes overseeing the team in completing daily duties of inventory processing and receiving, supplying production area with needed materials from inventory and loading or unloading material onto or from pallets, trays, or shelves and processing required paperwork.
Team Lead Responsibilities :
Leads the Material Handlers
Monitors and guides the assigned work activities of the team
Ensures the assigned work is done efficiently and meets production deadlines
Provides feedback and direction to the team creating an environment of accountability and path to success
Maintains employees' timesheets and schedules
Thoroughly trains and cross-trains team members as needed
Assists and back fills employees as needed
Duties and Responsibilities :
Processes inventory transactions
Issues material to manufacturing orders
Completes physical transactions
Keeps warehouse organized
Requisitions material for customer and manufacturing orders
Releases components to production
Keeps main inventory shelves organized
Places and expedites requisitions for routine supplies, verification and Inspection of incoming materials
Maintains locations for components and finished goods
Sends purchase orders
Arranges in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedule
Back up for Finishing and Shipping Department
Conducts physical cycle counts
Performs any other associated job-related duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills / Abilities :
Excellent attention to detail
Knowledge of warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, and material storage.
Ability to identify and solve problems
Ability to contribute to process improvement
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to identify and solve problems
Ability to work with minimum supervision
Must be able to work in a TEAM environment
Understanding of applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements and other related safety policies and best practices.
Education and Experience :
High School diploma or equivalent
1-2 years as a materials handler
Forklift experience and certification
Basic Math, English and Computer skills
Physical Requirements :
Strong hand-eye coordination
Ability to reach, bend, twist and squat
Ability to move quickly
Prolonged periods standing
Must be able to lift up to 70-100 pounds with crane assistance
Must be able to work on unforgiving surfaces
Must be able to work in hot and cold climates and in an environment with many noises and odors.

Compensation :
This position starts at $25.00 per hour commensurate with experience
