What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garment Finishing Technician position at Pratt Abbott Cleaners?
Professionally finish shirts, blouses, dresses, and other garments according to established pressing techniques. Training will be provided.
No experience required, we can provide on the job training for the right candidate. This is a year-round position. Start and end your day early then enjoy your free afternoons and evenings!
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
We're looking for someone who can work efficiently as part of a team environment. Similar to a kitchen environment, we work behind the scenes to make customers happy. Dexterity and experience on an assembly line or with kitchen prep (fine motor skills and quick turnaround time) are a bonus.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to handle client's garment with care.
Work at a fast pace, have a positive can-do attitude, and be very dependable.
Follow directions, reason and problem solve.
Follow all safety standards and training.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Good hand/eye coordination and the ability to physically manipulate the pressing equipment.
- Able to work in contained environment with heated equipment.
- Able to stand on your feet for your shift.
- Working professional proficiency or higher in English.
Responsibilities
- Operate laundry equipment to finish garments according to specifications.
- Collaborate with team members on the production line to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Adhere to safety and quality standards while handling fabrics.
- Utilize English communication skills to understand instructions and coordinate with colleagues.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
