Job Summary:
Pratt Industries is seeking an experienced Clamp Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our converting department, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining the clamp truck, ensuring efficient and accurate material handling.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the clamp truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company standards and regulations.
- Learn and apply converting lineups to ensure accurate and timely material handling.
- Unload rolls from trailers and/or rail cars, inspecting for damage and reporting any issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on the clamp truck to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with the conversion operator to meet production goals and deadlines.
- Assist in the training of new employees on clamp truck operation and safety procedures.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in the converting industry and/or industrial power truck or heavy equipment operation is preferred.
- Ability to read and follow instructions, as well as apply basic math concepts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
