What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Clerk position at Pratt Industries?

The Parts Clerk is responsible for all production (manufacturing) related receiving of parts and supplies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Accurately Receive Materials from deliveries, confirm item receipt in SAP
- Operate Forklift, or other hand trucks to move items in warehouse and/or
- Maintain a clean warehouse for raw material storage.
- Assist with Month End inventory counts.
- Conduct Raw Material counts
- Conduct Spare Parts counts
- Modify pre existing POs if necessary to reflect tax adjustments or pricing
- Greet and direct delivery drivers when necessary
- Collaborate with many areas of the organization to ensure the highest quality of
- Unload packages and check their content for accuracy, and assist in the
- Serve as back up to procurement team members.
- Be familiar with standard products used and research sources of supplies for
management when needed.
- Schedule and expedite non manufactured item shipping, such as materials
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Additional duties as assigned by management.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
Forklift or Lift-truck experience.
Candidates are PREFERRED who offer the following:
Prior Forklift or Lift-truck experience.
Ideal candidate will be currently enrolled, or willing to continue their education in Supply
Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or relevant fields.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions,
proportions.
