Summary
Summary: Assembles, analyzes, clarifies and verifies the medical records of Pratt Regional Medical Center by performing the following duties:
- Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. Responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all transcribed reports.
- Assembles and analyzes outpatient patient ancillary and community care.
- Flags with missing signatures or reports are needed to complete the medical record and put the deficiencies into CPSI.
- Routs medical records to the proper location for continued chart completion.
- Follow-up on any missing outpatient information daily.
- Sorts are printed off labs, radiology, and e-signed dictation and distributed to the correct location as needed.
- Print out missing outpatient reports needed to complete the medical record.
- Picks up discharged medical records from all nursing units as needed.
- Put all obstetrical monitoring strips in an envelope with proper identification on it to find them.
- Remove all staples, tear EKG strips apart before putting them on the medical record.
- Scans and indexes medical records into EHR.
- Responds to incoming faxes and answers inbound calls.
- Ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and efficient record retrieval
- Maintaining archived records, processing expired records, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information
- Working with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to ensure timely and accurate record processing
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with 3–6 months related experience preferred.
