What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Housekeeper position at Pratt Regional Medical Center?
Summary
**This is an evening shift position.
Job Summary: Performs a variety of surgical cleaning tasks to maintain OR rooms, offices, hallways, and other assigned areas. Assists OR staff in cleaning OR rooms between cases, re-stocks OR suites as necessary, sets up OR suites for next case as needed, washes beds and mattresses, and remakes beds after the patient is moved from the holding area, distributes linens and re-stocks as necessary, maintains PAR level of linens and fluids in warmer, empties wastebaskets, replaces full sharp containers, transports trash and waste to disposal area, keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition, washes walls and ceiling of OR room weekly including windows, door panels and sills inside of rooms, and perform of other duties as assigned or requested. Moves heavy objects as required. Performs cleaning procedures as appropriate.
Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals as required. Must be conscientious and dependable with the ability to follow orders. Requires flexibility and attention to detail. Must be a team player and have computer skills.
