Financial Planning Associate
Pratt Wealth Management, an independent financial planning and wealth management firm, is seeking a financial planning associate to join our growing firm. This role contributes to the mission of our firm by monitoring and administrating client accounts, building financial plans, researching investments, providing service to clients, and assisting firm advisers. Position duties include:
I. Financial Planning
- Accurately input information to create financial plans and reports.
- Analyze client-provided information to prepare recommendations.
- Identify areas of concern or opportunity and summarize.
- Work with adviser team to finalize plans and client presentations.
II. Securities Transactions
- Place trades in client accounts, taking instructions from advisers (or clients directly).
- Follow-up to ensure trades have been completed accurately and that account records have been updated to reflect transactions.
- Complete proper continuing education to maintain active securities licenses.
III. Portfolio Research and Management
- Research investment vehicles to be placed on and removed from firm preferred lists.
- Monitor mutual funds and ETFs for changes (management, style, expenses, etc.)
- Monitor client portfolios (allocation drift, liquidity, risk level, etc.)
- Contact clients regarding account changes and maintenance issues.
IV. Account Management
- Monitor accounts and complete reoccurring action items (investments, distributions, rebalances, etc.)
- Review accounts to ensure proper cash balance for upcoming fees and withdrawals.
- Draft proposed investment allocations for new deposits.
V. Client Meeting Preparation
- Review accounts and financial plans in preparation for client meetings.
- Propose changes to portfolios and recommend meeting discussion points for adviser consideration.
VI. General Duties
- Ensure CRM and files are kept up-to-date and maintained in the proper fashion
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and dedication to client service
- Miscellaneous correspondence with clients
- Miscellaneous general office duties, along with other projects and tasks as assigned
- Read trade journals, books, and other publications to ensure knowledge is kept up to date.
- Strong organization skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy
VII. Position Requirements
- FINRA Series 7, Series 63 (or 66), and Series 65 license registrations (or willingness to obtain.)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, Powerpoint)
- Preferred: Experience and proficiency: Morningstar Workstation, MoneyGuidePro, RightCapital, Holistiplan
- Preferred: Certified Financial Planner® designation
