What You Will Do:
The Aftermarket Repair organization (PSD) located in Springdale, AR is looking for a Special Processes Operator – Plasma for AWW (Alternate Work Week) shift operations (Friday - Sunday, 6AM to 6:30PM). Training may occur on 1st shift. 1st shift schedule is M-F, 6:30AM to 3PM. Shift earns 8% shift premium after training period. Overtime opportunity may be available after a period of training. Training is provided on-site.
Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is a FAA regulated facility and as such under the U.S. Departments of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA Guidelines. Candidate will be subject to drug and alcohol testing as a pre-employment contingency and also subject to ongoing random testing as an employee per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120, as well as 49 CFR part 40.
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

The salary range for this role is - . The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

- Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine requirements.
- Prepare parts for plasma coating.
- Set up and operate grit blaster.
- Set up and operate plasma equipment.
- Plasma coat to specifications outlined in work instructions.
- Inspect parts to verify conformance with specifications.
- Complete required paperwork.
- Maintain clean work environment
- Technical aptitude and desire to learn new skills is essential to this role.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions.
- Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D. in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
- US Citizenship due to government contracts
- Prior experience within the aerospace industry.
- Prior experience with specialized coating application.
