The Global Logistics and Support Equipment Readiness (GLaSER) organization is seeking an individual to fill the position of Depot Support Equipment (SE) Fleet Manager, supporting the F135 program. This position is part of Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engine Sustainment organization and located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The position will act as a primary interface with the depot production organization for the remanufacture of F135 Engines as it pertains to SE. Internal interfaces will include and are not limited to Hardware Customer Support Engineers, Aftermarket Sustainment Engineering, Logistics Program Management, Program Office, Quality, and other GLaSER groups.
The F135 engine program, power for the F-35 Lightning II, has an opening for a motivated, self-starting Support Equipment Fleet Manager at the Pratt & Whitney Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) in Oklahoma City. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of support equipment (SE) assets and interface with the United States Air Force (USAF) customer and external vendors. What You Will Do:
The salary range for this role is 66,000 USD - 130,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. What You Will Do:
- Utilize MERLIN/SEAL to communicate disposition requests with Support Equipment Engineering and Fleet Management.
- Conduct research on support equipment availability to support requests across internal and external organizations as part of the MRO&U network.
- Support government tooling audit activities in conjunction with providing inventory management of containers, COTS details, and assets in the repair cycle.
- Participate in teams, committees, events and training that improve the organization and support achieving CORE objectives.
- Coordinate with 3rd Party Logistics Provider for shipping and receiving of support equipment, containers, and other materials related to support equipment.
- Coordinate required inspections and care and feeding of support equipment, to include tracking all maintenance activities in the appropriate Enterprise Resource Planning system.
- Present issues and propose solutions to internal management team and external customers including the USAF.
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience; or an advanced degree in a related field. Experience to include: technical familiarity with engineering blueprints and the ability to read engineering drawings and basic nderstanding of jet engine or support equipment/ tooling development planning, project management, tool design, tool manufacturing, and inspection processes.Basic understanding of inventory control with experience in SEAL, PyRITS, SAP, and/or similar system.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
- Basic knowledge of SEAL, PyRITS, SAP and/or similar systems a plus, but not required.
- Basic knowledge of Air Force Technical Orders.
- Strong interpersonal, teamwork, communication (written and oral), organizational, time management skills and the ability to work well with multi-disciplinary groups is required.
- Proficiency in MS office tools.
- The ability to travel up to 10%.
- Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
- Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
