What You Will Do:

Pratt & Whitney (P&W) F135 Fleet Operations has a rare opportunity for a motivated, detail-oriented, self-starter with strong communication skills – both oral and written – to represent the P&W Team at Burlington ANG, VT as a F135 FSE. This role is required onsite at Burlington ANG, VT.

Responsibilities

  • Support F-35A/F135 operations to include, systems, tooling, material, and offboard system processes. The FSE will have hands-on interaction with the engine (software and hardware), aircraft, and squadron personnel.
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting on support activities including aircraft and engine status, flight reports, operational data, engine configuration status and parts consumption.
  • Work closely with internal P&W teams (Customer Support Engineering, Supply Chain
  • Management, Operations Center, Autonomous Logistics Information System (ALIS), to assist unit-level customers in troubleshooting and resolving emerging issues while maintaining flexibility to adapt to constantly changing customer priorities.
  • Use self-initiative and judgment to identify problems, conduct investigations to determine root cause, and coordinate solutions between P&W, the Joint Strike Fighter Program Office, and Lockheed Martin. You'll also be tasked with coordinating field issues with the P&W Site
  • Manager, Engineering, and Logistics Program Management.
  • Comply with Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and participating in
  • Customer-Oriented Results & Excellence (CORE) initiatives.
  • Ability to travel for extended periods of time to support customer deployments. Domestic and international travel are possible and part of the team concept.
  • Must have the ability to rotate between first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives.
  • Travel could be required for customer support on deployments and TDY’s.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 8 years of professional experience in engine/aircraft maintenance, logistics, and logistics support is required with a Bachelor’s degree and 5 with an advanced degree
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required on day 1.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Must have the ability to rotate first and second shift schedules as required to meet customer support and team objectives

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelors of Science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
  • 3 years’ experience with the F135 engine
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Background in ITAR/ITC is desired

Military Engines Engineering (MEE)

MEE consists of Program Chief Engineers who provide leadership and support for Military Engine programs, including Fighters (F100, F119), Mobility (F117, PW4062 for KC-46 Tanker), TF-33, F135, Military Development Programs, and APU’s as well as the Engine Life Management Team

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
