Summary
Our Pratt & Whitney Maintenance Repair and Overhaul Engine Center site in West Palm Beach has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join our team as a SIOP Materials Buyer Planner. The person in this role will be a key part of our supply chain team and will maintain proper inventory levels of materials needed to run our 2nd shift operations. You’ll interface with internal customers to identify needs and work with 3PL partners to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
Create purchase orders to fulfill Operations demand and track to ensure on time delivery of hardware
Manage vendor relationships and oversee vendor repair schedules to ensure material will meet the engine delivery schedule
Document, track, and communicate critical hardware constraints, and identify alternative options to mitigate risk
Maintain an optimal level of inventory that meets cost objectives and fulfills demand
Integrate seamlessly with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure all production activity meets established quality standards and cost estimates
Support implementation of processes, performance metrics, and trends to drive increased performance and production cycle time
Be a part of a responsive and adaptive culture where cross training, teamwork, and knowledge sharing is apparent
Implement base processes and refine a necessary
Investigate production control problems
Drive positive gains from the organization
Ability to work with internal delivery assurance personnel to assure that purchased parts arrive in a timely manner and are processed though Gate 2 on time
Assist in coordinating activities of others throughout the plant to help alleviate shortages and to meet schedule requirements
Execute on jobs requiring quick turnaround to production areas keying off communications from the Operations and Quality teams
Research and resolve issues, questions, or problems that arise to include part shortages
2-3 years of Supply Chain Experience
Support Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon Technologies EH&S policies and procedures and actively support continuous improvement initiatives driven by the CORE operating system
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, Purchasing, Buying, Planning, Materials and/or Inventory Management within a manufacturing or logistics environment; OR Associate’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience; OR High School Diploma and 6 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship required due to government contracts
Preferred Qualifications:
Aerospace MRO Aftermarket experience preferred
SAP experience preferred
