We have an opening for an Associate Director, Indirect Tax Technology in Raytheon Technologies (RTX) Tax department in Indirect Tax. This newly created role will be responsible for managing the identification and implementation of a single best practice solution for Indirect tax and transform existing processes accordingly throughout the design and blueprinting phase upon implementing S4 / Hana. This role will also be responsible for the implementation of e-invoicing mandates across RTX. Furthermore, this role will oversee all current state Indirect tax processes across existing ERP systems. This position reports directly to the Director of VAT for RTX Corporate Finance. Selected candidate will be required to work business hours that align with Eastern U.S. time.
What You Will Do :
- Assess current state of US Sales Tax and VAT processes across various RTX ERP systems, including :
Deployment of company codes for legal entities, branches and tax jurisdictions across all BU and ERP systems
Invoice requirements across all billing types, particularly for VATContracts set-upMaster dataTax code and VAT registration set-upManagement of e-invoicing (e.g. VAT)Assess current state of manual processes where ERP isn’t being optimally deployed, including :Intercompany invoices
3rd party invoicesOutsourced invoice processesWorkflow processes for any AP approvals managed outside of ERP systemDefine future state of all processes from S4 Hana perspective :Single process for all life cycle components
Ensure future state is properly incorporated in all phases of the project lifecycle, including Blueprinting, Requirements and Design phasesPost Go-live / implementation support of S4 Hana Indirect Tax requirementsStaying current with industry trends, emerging technological considerations and best practices in areas impacting SAPS / 4HANA and SUT / VATMonitor new e-invoicing mandates and assess existing mandates impacting RTX and manage the implementation of a global e-invoicing solution across RTX.Qualifications You Must Have :
This role typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, Tax or Finance or related field and 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s and 10 years of relevant experienceMinimum of 10 years recent SAP Finance and Controlling functional experience, including SD, MM and FI modulesMinimum of 10 years’ experience with SAP Finance and Controlling integration within SAP modules and non-SAP enterprise applications, e.g. Ariba, E-InvoicingStrong knowledge of SAP functional architecture to evaluate business requirements and recommend solutions that provide consistent, integrated approaches between SAPS / 4HANA and external applications that support RTX TaxAt least 10 years’ experience with SAP S / 4HANA implementation best practices from an SUT and VAT perspectiveAt least 5 years of project management experience including superior communication skills with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.Qualifications We Prefer :
Tax functional knowledge of SUT and / or VAT is strongly preferredStrong interpersonal and project management skillsSelf-motivated, able to work independently and under pressureStrong written and verbal communication skillsProven people leader focused on development and growth of direct reports.Location / Type :
