Environmental Specialist
Linde Gas & Equipment Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist to lead and support our sites in building best practices for Federal, State, and local environmental compliance, Responsible Care, and Linde corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and expertise on environmental compliance and best practices at sites.
- Respond to customer inquiries regarding HSE program management and product composition related to ROHS and REACH.
- Manage EPA's HFC Allocation Reduction reporting and other emerging needs (e.g., PFAS compliance).
- Facilitate continuous improvement supporting our strategic vision of not harming people or the environment.
Scope and Requirements:
The role will focus on providing transparency and structural resilience for Zero Incidents, solid compliance record, and timely response to customers. This includes air (currently no Title 5 scope) and water-related permits (discharge and/or stormwater), industrial and hazardous waste, emissions tracking, HFC and GHG heels tracking, dispersion modeling work for PHA and RMP risk assessments, and developing competencies of facility managers and HSE Coordinators for environment compliance and best practices at sites.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental, engineering, chemistry or HSE-related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in operations/chemical manufacturing environment with knowledge/experience in chemical industrial setting and environmental compliance.
- Excellent knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations, particularly in electronics/specialty gases industry.
- Training/Presentation skills to large and small groups, with ability to interact effectively with site personnel and senior management.
- Proficient in computer skills including Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and file management, with familiarity with Sharepoint a plus.
