Research Senior Software Engineer

What you will be doing:
In this role you will serve as the technical lead of multiple software development teams, select the software development process in coordination with the customer and system engineering. You will be responsible for recommending new technologies and processes for complex software projects. You must ensure quality control of all developed and modified software, and delegate programming and testing responsibilities to one or more teams and monitor their performance.
What you need:
- Experience with neural networks, transformers and Python.
- 5 years of demonstrated ability to elicit user and system requirements and document requirements in a CONOPS document
- 15 years of combined experience in C, C , Assembly (Intel, Motorola, and/or PowerPC), Perl, Java, Python, C Shell, Bash, and SQL
- Demonstrated ability to plan and develop component Integration Test and document test in a formal test plan document
- Twenty (20) years of experience as a SWE and a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- 4 years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree
Location:
Employees working in hybrid locations must reside within a two-hour drive of the designated work site, which in this case is Laurel, MD.
Clearance:
Active TS/SCI with an appropriate polygraph is required to be considered for this role
Salary range:
$144,251.00 - $271,085.00 (Annually)*
