The clinic:Â We are a proud orthopedic and sports physical therapy provider in Whatcom County. Our current specialties include: shoulder, spine, knee injuries, post-operative care, and general orthopedics. Facility is approximately 800 sf with an extra 1,000-2,000 sf space at Basecamp Fitness Studio next door. ADA parking, restrooms and shower facilities are provided.
Who we work with:Â We have an established name in the fitness community and are proud to be a preferred provider. Our typical client population includes athletes participating in high school, college level and club sports such as: soccer, track, cross-country, basketball, football, volleyball, lacrosse, hockey to name a few. We also work with the local gyms, gymnastics, dance and martial arts studios, providing physical therapy to members and active adults in Whatcom county! We work closely with local physicians/clinicians and orthopedic and sports medicine doctors to help facilitate great patient care and outcomes. Do you know someone who has a desk job but is also a weekend warrior and suffers from some nagging or chronic pain? We also work with them!
The shift:Â This role involves working 1-on-1 spending approximately 50-60 minutes with patients with a maximum of 7-8 patients per day depending on the shift. This position is currently part-time (10-20 hours/week) which will transition into a full-time position (30-32 hours/week). We are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

Experience
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
- Valid WA state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist.
- Must be legal to work in the United States.
- Experience in shoulder rehabilitation (surgical and non-surgical), ACL injury rehabilitation, and spine rehabilitation are preferred. Mentorship provided.
- Experience in outpatient sports and orthopedic physical therapy (OCS/SCS) is preferred but not required.
- Experience in manual therapy, Spinal Manipulation WA State endorsement. Mentorship will be provided and hours mentored can lead to WA State endorsement as well, so new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in Pelvic Health is strongly considered.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members are essential.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with best practices in physical therapy is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their physical condition and functional abilities.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient needs and goals.
- Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to guide therapeutic techniques and interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, home exercises, and self-management strategies.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and outcomes.
