Prayers From Maria is built out of love and compassion for children who suffer, and those who have died, from deadly brain tumors. Our mission is to provide childhood cancer patients with the support they desperately need, by reversing the tragic lack of funding and fueling the most meaningful brain cancer research for kids.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an energetic, responsible, and positive intern to join our organization! In this position, you will be expected to learn the ins-and-outs of our daily routine and activities. Traits include reliability; being a hard worker; having high expectations for yourself; and the ability to encourage staff, volunteers, and the community.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with event management and scheduling activities.
- Perform clerical duties, maintain files, and organize documents, etc. as needed.
- Run general office related errands.
- Manage databases and input information, data, and records.
- Assist with some social media and website content.
- Office organization.
- The ability to lift heavy objects.
- Season-specific projects.
Qualifications:
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree at a college or university preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Business Administration or Hospitality).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent writing skills and analytical abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidentiality, excellent organizational skills, and accuracy required.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas.
- Reliable form of transportation.
