Job Description:
- Review requests for quotation, purchase orders and associated documents to determine company concurrence and communicate requirements to company personnel.
- Review non-disclosure agreements and communicate requirements to management.
- Review internal estimates, including proposed materials, production costs, etc and determine whether they seem reasonable and accurate, based on previous estimates and current project information. Calculate pricing in spreadsheet utilizing this and historical data.
- Calculate delivery schedules, and pricing.
- Actively monitor the progress of work performed under contract to verify compliance with shipping schedules, contract requirements and other commitments.
- Provide feedback to the customer and work to resolve any internal roadblocks affecting company’s performance.
- Serve as the point of contact for internal questions relating to customer agreements, and terms and conditions.
- Write contract letters and other communications and notices.
- Ensure relevant, accurate documentation accompany contracts and maintain digital and hard copies of relevant documentation in designated locations.
- Monitor customer portals for purchase orders, forecasts, Min/Max/Pull signals, ECN status, scorecards, etc.
- Order entry of purchase orders received; maintain responsibility through all customer requests and update data as necessary.
- Respond to incoming calls and emails for designated area in a timely manner.
- Interface with Production Control, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Shipping/Receiving in an effort to expedite (as required) and deliver an “on-time” product.
Required Experience and skills:
· Two years’ experience with Contracts for Goods, and customer service required. Work in Aerospace and manufacturing preferred
· Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
· Ability to read, analyze and interpret legal documents, cost reports and technical documents.
· Proficient knowledge of requirements pertaining to requests for proposal, purchase order agreements, terms, conditions, and standard business practices.
· Possesses superior attention to detail in order to spot inconsistencies in contract elements, including pricing.
· Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.
· Effective oral and written communication skills; accuracy in daily work is essential.
· Professional demeanor; ability to interact with customers with friendliness, diplomacy, and patience; good organization and time management skills; and ability to work well in a team environment.
· Must be able to manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision.
· Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and experience with PowerPoint.
· Fundamentals of business and Government contract and FAR knowledge beneficial.
