Job Title: Bilingual (English/Spanish) Receptionist

Reporting Relationship: Compassionate Support Services (CSS) Director

Department: Compassionate Support Services (CSS)

Days Worked: Monday - Thursday

Required Hours: Part-time – 32 hours per week; Hourly / Non-Exempt

Benefit Eligible: No

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of this position is to work at the reception desk and assist with various other duties in the CSS office.

Specific Responsibilities:

Volunteer Advocate Support:

o Track volunteer absences and ensure coverage for scheduled appointments

o Track upcoming client schedule changes and update advocates

Client Relations:

o Solve issues with clients with love and compassion

o Follow up with Spanish-speaking and English-speaking clients

o Seek to improve the way we meet the needs of clients

o Assist clients with workshop registration and item pickups, complete necessary paperwork

o Assist CSS clients in the shopping area as needed

Administrative Duties:

o Know and use client database and scheduling system, work within program guidelines for scheduling appointments and training sessions, as required

o Update Spanish phone voicemails regarding closures

o Translate documents from English to Spanish or vice versa as needed

o Act as a liaison for CSS maintenance and facility needs, interacting regularly with the PRC Office Coordinator

o Coordinate with PRC Office Coordinator for CSS phone system, computer, and office technology needs, interacting with PRC Office Coordinator and/or vendors, as needed

o Track and update CSS Director of upcoming volunteer absences to ensure coverage for scheduled appointments

o Coordinate with PRC Office Coordinator for the maintenance of the following CSS’s needs: computer systems, facility, cameras, printers, paper shredders, security system, phones, and office equipment and services

o Communicate with CSS program coordinators regarding schedule changes

Additional Responsibilities:

o Host after hours volunteer groups on occasion (approximately one time per month)

o Attend Prayer Summit, all-staff meetings, trainings and other PRC sponsored events, as required

o Assist with and/or attend PRC events (Gala, volunteer events, Walk for Life, etc.), when directed by CSS Director

o Perform other tasks as assigned by the CSS Director

Position Requirements:

o Detail focused

o Strong organizational skills

o Able to work in fast-paced environment

o Ability to learn, teach, and inform

o Fluency in Spanish and English, with the ability/willingness to learn to read and compose correspondence and documents in either language

o Able to provide spiritual leadership, discipleship, and support to volunteers and clients

o Understands and models servant leadership

o Knowledge of community resources and referral options

o Ability to work with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook, and database software

o Passionate about the needs and spiritual growth of PRC clients

o Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive data

o Ability to lift 25 pounds

o Possess a valid driver’s license as well as reliable transportation (necessary for position requirements)
