Job Title: Development Assistant
Reporting Relationship: Development Manager

Position Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide administrative support to the Development Department, while building and maintaining relationships with our supporters. This individual will assist with day-to-day tasks relating to department operations, events, church relations, marketing, and social media.
Specific Responsibilities:
Administrative Support
o Provide administrative support to the Development Department
o Order department supplies and stamps
o Take minutes for department meetings
o Maintain records of all direct mail and e-communications created for archiving purposes
o Coordinate volunteer projects and needs with Office Coordinator
o Create Google Forms to track information
o Maintain accurate data in donor database making changes when requested
o Work within a team environment to support colleagues as assigned
o Manage direct mail campaign communication with mail house
Events
o Assist with implementing and executing successful fundraising events (Walk for Life, Golf for Life, and Gala)
o Generate pledge reports for walkers participating in Walk for Life
o Manage event RSVPs within Fund Easy for all PRC events
o Recruit event volunteers and staff
o Secure event vendors providing clear communications
o Submit donation requests
o Solicit raffle items
o Manage post-event logistics such as entering information in the donor database, collecting and analyzing attendee feedback, reporting of statistical information, record keeping, etc.
Church Relations
o Create and distribute church communications
o Coordinate church deliveries (two – three times a year) of PRC related materials
o Oversee Baby Bottle Campaign to include various churches and provide PRC revenue through baby bottle campaign
o Assist Community Engagement Director with data entry and other tasks as assigned
o Manage and keep accurate records in our church database
Marketing & Social Media
o Assist with creating and executing marketing materials to promote PRC mission, program events
o Manage PRC’s social media platforms for donors, including content creation, scheduling posts, and engaging with followers
o Create and send e-communications to supporters using MyEmma
o Work with Development team to design materials specific to fundraising initiatives, events, and church relations
o Collaborate with colleagues on design concepts ensuring we are communicating to the appropriate audience
Position Requirements:
o Exhibit strong commitment and dedication to the pro-life position and ability to effectively advocate for that position with co-workers and the public
o Ability to build and retain positive relationships
o Excellent people and phone skills
o Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office software with expertise in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (knowledge of merge features)
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o High attention to detail
o Expertise in analytical processes
o Ability to learn, teach, and inform
o Ability to remain focused and calm under pressure of multiple tasks and interruptions
o Ability to maintain confidentiality while working with highly sensitive data
o Experience in graphic design software a plus (Canva, Adobe Illustrator, etc.)
o Flexible and able to work an occasional evening and/or weekend (additional hours may be required for staff development, during an event season, or as requested by supervisor)
o Ability to lift 25 pounds
o Possess a valid driver’s license as well as reliable transportation (necessary for position requirements)
