This position is responsible for ensuring high standards of cleanliness in both interior and exterior common areas. Duties include deep cleaning, sanitizing high-traffic spaces, restocking supplies, and assisting with trash disposal. The Cleaner also reports maintenance concerns and helps maintain a safe and comfortable atmosphere for all.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize vacant apartments to prepare for new residents.
- Maintain spotless common area bathrooms and shared spaces to ensure a fresh and hygienic environment.
- Sweep, mop, wash, buff, and vacuum floors for a polished and well-maintained appearance.
- Dust and wipe down all surfaces, including furniture and high-touch areas.
- Clean mirrors and polish fixtures to maintain a bright, inviting atmosphere.
- Empty trash cans and remove debris, recycling materials, and other waste efficiently.
- Notify the Superintendent of any maintenance issues or malfunctioning equipment.
- Help uphold building security and safety by ensuring doors are locked when necessary.
- Report any violations, hazards, or cleanliness concerns to the Superintendent.
- Identify potential issues and suggest practical solutions.
- Perform light preventative maintenance tasks as needed.
