INDUSTRY : Oil and Gas - Pipeline Construction and MaintenanceLOCATION : Oklahoma City, OKCONTEXT : Our client is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. This role involves preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for both pipeline and facility construction projects within the oil and gas sector. The position is hybrid, starting with office work in Oklahoma City, and transitioning to a more remote role with minimal travel to project sites. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy, with a strong background in pipeline and facilities estimating. The role will focus on projects ranging from $500k to $20 million, depending on whether it's pipeline or facility construction.We are specifically looking for two separate estimators : one with expertise in pipeline estimating and one with expertise in facility construction estimating. Preference will be given to candidates based in Oklahoma City or Midland, but we are open to remote candidates for the right fit.RESPONSIBILITIES : Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and documentation to ensure the estimates are accurate and comprehensive.Create and submit competitive bids and proposals, including drafting schedules and formatting documents to meet high standards of clarity, punctuation, and grammar.Obtain and assess quotes from vendors and subcontractors. Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to ensure cost-effective procurement strategies.Conduct cost-benefit analyses, monitor financial risks, and adjust estimates based on project updates, changes, or unforeseen circumstances.Maintain organized and detailed records of estimates, bids, and communications. Prepare and present clear, comprehensive reports on cost estimates and project budgets.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure that estimates align with project requirements, scopes, and timelines.Assist in refining project scopes and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and construction practices in the oil, energy, and pipeline sectors. Apply new methods or technologies to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.Prepare and deliver polished proposals to clients with professionalism and clarity.QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or a related field is preferred. Significant experience can substitute for a degree.Proven experience estimating for pipeline construction projects and / or facility construction projects in the oil, energy, or infrastructure sectors.Pipeline Estimating Experience : Must have experience estimating projects in the $500k to $10,000,000 range.Facility Estimating Experience : Must have experience estimating projects in the $1,000,000 to $20,000,000 range.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Excel, Procore) and MS Office Suite.Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.Skilled in document formatting, punctuation, and grammar, ensuring proposals are polished and professional.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively while presenting detailed proposals with clarity.Occasional travel for meetings as needed, but travel to project sites is minimal.
