Position Summary: The Content Support is responsible for supporting the Content Team in creation, maintenance and testing of the Company’s language apps and language systems in the Company devices. This includes specific vocabulary programs, vocabulary tools for other device functions, and other various activities. This position ensures that the ongoing development of new and existing vocabulary programs is consistent with the Company’s market goals, clinical expertise, and customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports interdepartmental project teams and external resources in the development and maintenance of Company content and vocabulary programs across multiple platforms.
- Supports in the creation of a diverse range of content and vocabulary resources in multiple languages, considering local languages, symbols, and visual supports to address the specific needs and cultural sensitivities of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) users in international markets.
- Assists with the submission and revision process of new content files for inclusion with software updates.
- Assists with Quality Assurance and troubleshooting of content and vocabulary related issues, correcting verified bugs and ensuring they get resolved within the system.
- Creates and maintains vocabulary content at the direction of the Content and Vocabulary staff.
- Creates and maintains non-vocabulary device content such as internal and external computer access, phone and text messaging functions, Join In web apps, etc.
- Maintains a solid working knowledge of Company software and language systems.
- Considers user interface recommendations in terms of look, feel, and access.
- Assists with documentation of changes to vocabulary programs.
- Assists with training of field staff and service dept, when appropriate.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- 2- or 4-year technical degree or demonstrated equivalent experience and training is required.
- Previous knowledge of PRC-Saltillo products and software is suggested.
- Familiarity with software and app development processes a plus.
- Strong understanding of the AAC field is preferred.
