Position Summary: The Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the entire supply chain function. This role involves managing and improving processes related to production forecasting, procurement, manufacturing, inventory, and shipping, ensuring seamless coordination across departments to meet business goals. The Director of Supply Chain will provide leadership, strategic direction, and expert guidance to drive productivity, reduce costs, improve quality, achieve on time delivery and enhance customer satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Leads, develops, and inspires the Procurement, Manufacturing, and Shipping teams, fostering a high-performance culture.
· Defines and executes the supply chain strategy in alignment with overall Company objectives.
· Oversees all aspects of the supply chain, including forecasting, procurement, inventory management, manufacturing, and shipping.
· Continuously evaluates and optimizes supply chain processes to increase productivity, reduce costs, improve quality, and achieve product delivery timelines.
· Establishes and maintains strong relationships with key suppliers.
· Negotiates contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure cost-effective, high quality level, and reliable supply chain solutions.
· Collaborates with Sales and Operations teams to develop accurate demand forecasts and inventory plans to ensure stock availability and accuracy while minimizing excess inventory.
· Utilizes data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and improve supply chain performance, ensuring that key metrics such as on-time delivery, first pass yield, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency are met.
· Identifies potential risks in the supply chain and develops strategies to mitigate them, ensuring business continuity in the face of disruptions or changes in demand.
· Ensures all supply chain activities comply with relevant ISO and FDA standards, while promoting sustainable practices where possible.
· Works closely with internal departments to ensure alignment and support for broader organizational goals.
· Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Management is required. Master’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Management would be preferred.
· At least 10 years or overall experience in Operations is required.
· At least 5 years of experience in a management role in Operations with increasing responsibility/experience is required.
· At least 5 years of experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and data analytics tools is required, with SAP being a plus.
· Demonstrated success implementing business improvement initiatives including lean manufacturing programs is required.
· Extensive knowledge of Quality Management Systems, such as ISO-9001 is required.
· Certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or similar certifications are a plus.
Salary : $106,000 - $132,000
