Position Summary:
The Manufacturing Process Engineer
designs, optimizes, and improves manufacturing and service processes, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction while also ensuring safety, compliance, and system integration.  This position identifies and ensures optimum use of systems to improve end-to-end efficiency and data collection for reporting and analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       Develops and refines manufacturing and service processes, including methods, equipment, systems use, and tooling.

·       Works closely with manufacturing and services teams to implement and enforce processes, identify enhancements, and optimize workflows.

·       Implements lean manufacturing and service initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

·       Participates in product design and works closely with Product Development to ensure manufacturability and serviceability in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner. Submits engineering change requests as needed.

·       Develops reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, service, quality, and efficiency.

·       Assists in forecasting, capacity planning, and resource allocation for manufacturing and service operations.

·       Ensures data accuracy and integrity in all manufacturing and service reports and databases.

·       Assists with enterprise resource planning (ERP) upgrades, configuration, customizations, and integration with other manufacturing software. 

·       Becomes a subject matter expert in the ERP system functionality; designs processes to use ERP best practices, creates work instructions, and performs training for manufacturing and service staff.

·       Collaborates with quality control and supply chain teams to drive operational excellence.

·       Utilizes software tools such as ERP systems, Excel, and data visualization platforms to analyze manufacturing and service performance.

·       Provides recommendations for cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and safety standards.

·       Updates and maintains assembly process documents.  Sets up routings to include applicable notes. 

·       Supports and follows the Company Safety Program. 

·       Ensures that the manufacturing and service processes comply with applicable laws and regulations.

·       Performs other duties as required.

Required Skills/Abilities:

·       Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.

·       Knowledge of ISO quality requirements.

·       Knowledge of costing activities.

·       Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.

·       Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with multiple departments.

·       Able to work well with a team as well as work independently with little supervision.

·       Self-starter with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Education and Experience:

·       Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering, or relevant field is required.  If no relevant Bachelor’s degree, at least 8 years of relevant experience is required.

·       Must have at least 4 years of experience in relevant role.

·       Proficiency in data analysis tools and reporting software is required.

·       Experience with lean manufacturing principles and process improvement methodologies. Certification is preferred.

·       Knowledge of ERP systems is required.  SAP experience is preferred.

Salary : $69,500 - $86,500
