Job Summary:
The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and accuracy in all processes. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience in warehouse functions such as receiving, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and support a team of warehouse associates in daily operations
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment, receiving, and inventory movements
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
- Assist with onboarding, training, and performance coaching of warehouse staff
- Communicate effectively with other departments, carriers, and management
- Maintain accurate records, conduct cycle counts, and assist in inventory audits
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices
- Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA, and other regulations
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications a plus
- 2 years of warehouse experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role
- Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and safety standards
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead by example and maintain a positive team culture
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
