SCOPE:
Shipping and Receiving Clerk Pre-Tech is looking for a Shipping and Receiving Clerk to work under managing staff members to handle incoming and outgoing shipments.
CORE DUTIES:
- To prepare packages and Bills of Lading for outgoing shipments. (UPS Shipments) (Includes knowledge of postal and commercial shipping methods).
- Receive incoming materials ensuring accuracy of shipments. Sort, check count and verify numbers and notify manager of any damages.
- Receive incoming jobs ensuring accuracy of shipments. Sort, check count and verify numbers and Notify manager of any damages.
- Deliver items to requisitioning departments and designated staging areas.
- Input receiving information into the company software system.
- Responsible for housekeeping shipping receiving Department.
DESIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
- Previous shipping and receiving experience.
- Certified forklift operation.
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time required.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Ability to use Microsoft office (MS Word, Excel).
- Ability to use computer system for data entry, entering shipments, and printing necessary documents and shipping labels.
- Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 environment a plus.
- US Citizenship is required.
